Anchor Arms - Milligrams 7" AA 01
Born from the ashes of bands whose names we've sworn never to utter, Anchor Arms was birthed unto the fine city of Gainesville in late 2007. Featuring Craig Godman on guitars, the band blends sounds stripped from such 70's garage stalwarts as The MC5 with contemporary post-punk standard bearers (think Rocket from the Crypt sporting your uncle Randy's cheez-ola sideburns). If the band was a Chinese buffet, rumor has it that the featured dishes would be Jawbreaker, The Marked Men, Hot Water Music, and beef 'n broccoli, but we're not a Chinese buffet. Truth be told, we aren't really into Asian food at all.
