Critic, The/Devices - Split 7" AN 001
Obscure split 7" release from DEVICES and THE CRITIC, with two tracks from DEVICES (featuring a dude who played in CAPSULE for a while) and one track from THE CRITIC. Per usual, DEVICES slay with heavily rockin and chaotic post-rock/screamo/violence mayhem. Discordant as hell, but oddly pleasing. THE CRITIC are pre-FURNACE and rock their side starting off in that depressing CITY OF CATERPILLAR delay-pedal way. A post-rock build up explodes shortly after that into a frenzy of fast drums, screams and frantic screamo riffin'. Screaming and a swaying emo/screamo melody. Comes on a gnarly "seafoam" lime green colored vinyl w/ a little bit of pink splatter for good measure. This release is limited to just 375 copies too!
