Lords Of Light - Energy LP LDR/625 Thrash

I totally dig this band, though I gather I'm in the minority. No change there then. "Energy" certainly lives up to its title, getting right in your face with mashing up such disparate influences as The Minutemen, Crossed Out and Jimi Hendrix, which marks quite a departure from their earlier, more straightforward, psychedelically infused offerings. They're clearly not without a sense of humour, flying in the face of a lot of the overly earnest bust-a-gut powerviolence outfits and beating them at their own game. There is a lot here to get your head around even after several spins, but it is loads of fun and I can safely say that I can't think of a band that sound anything like them, which has to stand for something in this day and age. stolen from - http://www.collective-zine.co.uk
